The United States has been working on jammer research

Prison cell phone 5G jammer have become a necessary addition to the arsenal of tools1 required for the safekeeping of inmates. Cell phones are becoming smaller every day, making them easier for inmates smuggle into facilities. This creates an even more difficult job for the already burdened correctional worker, however a cell phone jammer is the answer to restricting the inmates from using the cell phones for potentially dangerous activities. Cell phone jammer use can also force inmates to use prison approved / monitored phone lines.

The drone gun jammer is a lightweight, soft kill, drone jamming solution for use on remote weapon stations. The DroneCannon RW module will force drones (single or swarm attack) into a fail-safe mode where they will either hover or slowly descend. This function will allow the operator to utilize a kinetic weapon or other mounted equipment to more easily neutralize the target. Included Perfectjammer jamming technology has been developed specifically for drone mitigation, offering an effective response to an urgent threat.

In order to jam any cellphone / mobile phone, one must create a destructive interference pattern with that cell phone’s radio waves. RF drone jammer devices actually saturate space in a given radius, with a radio wave that exactly fits the mobile phone’s frequency. The only difference between the two waves, is that they are out of phase (reverse wave – see again above images). The BBC broadcasts are carried on shortwave frequencies from Taiwan and Uzbekistan, and on medium wave from Mongolia, 38 North reported. It said it wasn’t possible to determine if the medium wave frequency was also targeted by jamming.

L3 Technologies has received a $36 million demonstration of existing technologies (DET) contract award for U.S. Navy’s Next Generation  jammer Low Band (NGJ-LB) program. The DET program encompasses a period of performance of 20 months, culminating in a demonstration at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. The Next Generation Jammer will augment, and eventually replace, the ALQ-99 tactical jamming system currently integrated on the EA-18G Growler aircraft.
