The US military has declined to confirm whether any of their drones have crashed as a result of the Russian jammers citing operational security. Despite US drones being equipped with anti-cell phone jammer technology, NBC quoted US officials stating that Russian disruption technology was “very sophisticated, proving effective even against some encrypted signals and anti-jamming receivers.” The Russians began jamming some smaller U.S. drones several weeks ago, the officials said, after a series of suspected chemical weapons attacks on civilians in rebel-held eastern Ghouta. The Russian military was concerned the U.S. military would retaliate for the attacks and began jamming the GPS systems of drones operating in the area, the officials explained.
Among the five violations, “lateness, truancy, mobile phones, eating and sleeping” were the worst offenders. Since the price of mobile phones is not low, it will be returned to students after the confiscation and criticism of education, so the supervision cannot be effectively played.Russian use of signal jammer in situations short of all-out war would reduce their effectiveness during an actual war, as U.S. and Allied forces study the signals and figure out ways to overcome them and field improved, jam-resistant system. The U.S. Army is already looking to field weapons that don’t rely on GPS to achieve pinpoint accuracy.

However, it also knocks out communications used by U.S. troops putting them at increased risk.The big advantage of sending out a hunter drone with countermeasures rather than trying to do it on the ground is that, being closer to the drone, the power of the signal jammer can be reduced, thus creating less disturbance to other RF devices in the area – the rogue drone is specifically targeted.
Illegal cellphones have been a chronic problem in prisons across the country. In South Carolina, they’ve been used to arrange a contract killing of a prison officer, plot an escape and conduct all manner of fraud. The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, embarked on the amphibious assault ship Boxer, parked a LMADIS jammer on the Boxer’s flight deck to provide a defense against Iranian UAVs known to operate in the area. The marines detected an Iranian unmanned aerial vehicle and jammed it when the drone closed to within 1,000 yards of the Boxer.
