Consumers cannot legally use jammers in the U.S.

Mark asked: “Is there a device in my house that allows everyone to eat? I can toggle the switch, turn on things, and then cut off all cell signals in the house?” Or in a certain area so that no one takes out the phone and checks Instagram or other content? ”

Mark, there must be some portable jammer devices that will block signals from cell phones, WiFi, GPS, police speedometers, etc. You can easily find them online, the prices range from less than 100 dollars to thousands of dollars, and they can be normal jobs. Completely illegal.

The FCC even issued the following warning on its website: “We remind consumers that using phone jammers or similar devices that intentionally block, block or interfere with authorized radio communications violate federal laws. (For example, cell phones, police radar, GPS, and Wi-Fi ), despite the requirements of some merchants, consumers cannot legally use jammers in the United States, and retailers cannot legally sell them.”

The fine is not a joke. In 2014, a man in Florida was fined $48,000 for using a jammer to prevent other drivers from standing by his phone. LaGuardia Airport was fined nearly 32,000 U.S. dollars and fired GPS Jammer, so his boss could not track him. He accidentally interfered with communications at the airport.

A computer scientist in Chicago hopes to make peace while riding a train until he can pay $10,000 in bail and a $100,000 fine while waiting for a trial using a jammer. A school in Dallas was fined $25,000 for signal blocking.
