CS GROUP, pioneer and major player in the fight against drones in France through its solution BOREADES, was selected as a demonstrator industry on the event “Safe Drone Seminar”. Organized by the SAFE competitiveness cluster with the SGDSN, this event was the operational evaluation phase of the Call for Expressions of Interest (AMI4) launched in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics, and specifically concerned the neutralization of malicious drones. .
The objective of this demonstration was to present innovative means of neutralization of threatening UAVs that could disrupt the competitions of the OG 2024, based on test scenarios imposed by the SGDSN.
The BOREADES anti-drone solution developed and deployed by CS GROUP is designed to integrate several detection, identification and neutralization sensors to respond to all types of threats and neutralize all types of commercial drones (with or without remote control) , with real-time supervision and steering of the neutralization means from the Command and Control Station (C2).
On the occasion of this demonstration, CS GROUP was able to successfully demonstrate different sequences of electromagnetic interference:
directional interference controlled by the command and control station (C2) of the BOREADES system, allowing neutralization to be focused on the target by limiting the impact on the environment;
omnidirectional cell phone jammer, aimed at deploying a bubble of protection around the site to be protected, and preventing multiple attacks (swarms of drones) coming from several directions.
CS GROUP also carried out a first demonstration of its interceptor drone, with the rallying of the target drone in motion thus making it possible to characterize the threat (visual confirmation of the presence of an onboard charge for example) and to engage the neutralization effector. embarked on the drone.
Building on this first success, CS GROUP is actively working on the implementation of an interfering jammer on the interceptor drone aimed at landing the hunted drone. This solution has several major advantages, among which the limitation of electromagnetic impact (interference of very low power due to the proximity of the target), but also the possibility of neutralizing target drones designed to withstand neutralization solutions since the ground.
In addition, CS Group has integrated the UTM (Unmanned Traffic Management) solution of its partner Air Space Drone (ASD), thus implementing the first operational solution integrating the management of air traffic from cooperative UAVs to the fight against illicit drones for meet the growing need for surveillance and protection of sensitive sites and events.
Aware of the rapid evolution of the threat, CS GROUP strives to constantly innovate and test the most effective solutions for the neutralization of malicious drones and to simultaneously enhance the detection and identification performance, thanks in particular to artificial intelligence integrated into its command and control center.
CS GROUP will be present at the Milipol show which will take place in Paris from November 19 to 22, 2019, and will exhibit on this occasion its latest innovations for the benefit of anti-drone fight. CS GROUP will organize during this period a demonstration of its BOREADES system accessible to persons and delegations having expressed their previous interest
CS GROUP is a major player in the design, integration and operation of intelligent, cyber-protected critical systems. CS GROUP is listed on Euronext Paris – Compartment C – (Shares: Euroclear 7896 / ISIN FR 0007317813).
