Bringing drones with home-made Raspberry Pi WiFi spoilers from the sky

More and more drones fly in the sky – not only for fun and hobby, but also for research, private and state surveillance and in the sense of supposed security. The legal situation is far from being clearly clarified and not all parties are equally in agreement.

The Makezine has published a tutorial on how to build a drone jammer with a Raspberry Pi and a tin antenna itself. In doing so, the “Drone Disabler” disturbs the WiFi connection between the drone and the control unit and ultimately causes the drone to crash. The project and the instructions are of course intended for research purposes only. Click here for instructions.
