New Delhi: The University Education Funding Committee (UGC) has instructed universities and higher education institutions to strictly abide by government guidelines, and installed jammers at the test center to check the use of improper funds. In 2016, the government allowed statutory auditors to use inefficient jammers in the auditorium to prevent the use of improper means by radio frequency equipment.
The UGC said in a letter to the Deputy Prime Minister and Dean of the University: “You need to ensure compliance with government guidelines on human interference from universities or colleges.” The UGC stated that the classroom portable jammer model EC-CRJ-6B5 has been approved by the board of directors Successfully evaluated through laboratory tests and field trials, and suggested using the jammer model for local stations (BTS) without base station transceivers within 100 meters of the location.
“Before the test starts, check the performance of the jammer used in each test center, because the effectiveness of the jammer depends on various factors, such as output power, signal strength from the BTS, and traffic load interference from the BTS to a specific base station The time and distance of the device from the bulletproof system, the sensitivity of the receiver, the terrain, the terrain and the line of sight, etc.,” the committee said.
The UGC letter states: “The actual use of jammers requires the (Security) Minister to approve the government’s interference policy in advance.” Two government companies, India Electronics Co., Ltd. (ECIL) and Bharat Electronics Co., Ltd. (BEL), have been approved according to Test supervisor’s request to provide low-power jammers for rental test hall.
